"Basketry To Enhance Health" Exhibit

This exhibit displays a variety of traditional baskets made by Martha Bird. Basketweaving was used in the medical field for many years to treat soldiers returning from the war with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Bird lectures on the topic of basketry as a tool for healing and empowerment around the country. She is a local artist and a patron of the East Lake Library. Bird has shown her art locally and nationally.
