Willow in Motion

These works include her well known spiral forms that mimic the organic geometry of everything from the smallest creatures to the largest galaxies. The exhibit also contains sculptural objects that examine personal experiences of trauma and injury in diverse ways.

On a more personal note:  I’ve know Martha for a few years now and have watched her grow as an artist.  She approaches her work with energy, rigor, enthusiasm and soul. She is prolific, smart as a whip and resilient. She is a great public speaker, a fabulous collaborator.  And she is a neighbor.  In great weather we hang out talking over the fence “by the park” near where she lives.  She gave me my first hug during the pandemic lull when we were first vaccinated. I am so pleased to be even a tiny part of her progress as an artist.  Susan Hensel
