This sculpture was made using a reed armature and then overlayed with a random weave.  Teacher Ann Coddington taught us a variety of techniques in the 5 day workshop Sculptural Fibers: Open and Closed Structures at the Textile Center in Minneapolis, MN.  We learned how to build an armature and were inspired to create sculptural forms using lashing, knotting, twining and random weave.
