Dimensions:  22 x 8 x 8"

Materials: rattan palm (reed), waxed linen thread

Comes ready to hang via invisible thread.

This sculpture was made using a lashing technique.  Teacher Ann Coddington taught us a variety of techniques in the 5 day workshop Sculptural Fibers: Open and Closed Structures at the Textile Center in Minneapolis, MN.  We learned how to build an armature and were inspired to create sculptural forms using lashing, knotting, twining and random weave.

For the full dimension of the sculpture, see the website page under Artwork, Sculptural Basketry, Individual pieces.
